I began my early years contracting as production expertise (sound, lights, and video) for my school district during middle and high school. I wrote my first business plan for fun at the young age of 15, and started my first company when I was 19. I consider myself to be highly motivated and passionate. I started working for a hotel chain when I was in high school and during down time I scribbled down notes and flowcharts to start my first company. In Colorado Springs I left the hotel to fulfill a consulting contract with a local high-tech company. I then started my first venture doing corporate video, and transferred my consulting contract over to the new company.
Early on I admired and respected business leaders – I saw the influence they had on the people who worked for and with them. I realized very young that people spend over half of their waking life at work. I decided I was going to love what I did – and ultimately help others enjoy what they do.
I found ways to give back to the community early on, loving the fact that I could improve someone’s life…Philanthropy became a passion. I like to describe myself as a philanthropist first, and a business tycoon second. While my life has had its share of failures, I embrace the lessons learned and continue on the path to constant success.
About Nathan Hart
COO
As the President of Vodik Corporation and COO of SMG, Inc., I get to work with our clients to ensure the their experience is top-notch. We feel that having fun is part of doing the job right. Working with our team, I pull together the right people to guarantee our clients the best product and the best experience we can offer. I am so fortunate to work with such a large team of experts.
Video…what’s that? Way back in High School, I found video production, had a blast, and kept on doing it. From shooting, editing, producing and directing multi-camera productions (with or without TV satellite trucks), I have been able to gain experience in many different aspects of the video production industry. No longer considering myself a “videographer” I am more focused on the strategy, purpose, and results of business video. Helping clients take the images in their mind to a script, adding a bit of direction and knowledge, and then working with great video crew to create powerful video, is what puts a smile on my face.
